  • 2011 Challenges

    Pray. Sing. Write.

This will be my daily mantra. The only thing I want to be purposeful about doing every. single. day.

    Nothing New in 2011

This is a challenge I will be doing with the Lady. The idea is to consume less, repurpose more. We are making it a goal to buy nothing new (with a few exceptions) next year. Everything must be pre-owned, reused and repurposed. If you want to join us in this challenge for the year, I will be blogging and twitting about under #nn11. I will also share my guidelines (think pirate’s code) of the challenge shortly.

    Build a Temple.

Not a literal one of course. This mostly refers to how I treat (or more corectly–abuse) my body. I don’t want to sacrifice living in the name of health, but I do recognize I have some very bad habits which need to be fixed. This is the only body I am going to have for a while, I need to take better care of it.

Happy New Years to you all!

  • Making the #Blogfest Deadline

    Img_9216

So I was challenged this month to take part in a blog soiree of sorts, and to blog every day. Since I was tapped on the writing from yesterdays post, and I need some stock in my store, I decided to make a new book to post and have been stitching away to make the deadline for today.

This is a hard bound Coptic stitch journal. The covers are made from a marble vintage book, and are 5″ x 8″. It has 140 pages of blank medium weight newsprint, great for any sketch artist or avid creative journal. I will be adding it to my store soon, so if you would like it for yourself, be sure to keep your eyes open!
    Continuing the adventure,
